Tennessee State will travel to Cookeville, TN to take on the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech for their homecoming. TSU is coming off a bye week after losing to Murray State 9-6 in what most will consider one of the poorest performances in TSU history. Tech heads into it's homecoming week after a 28-16 win over SEMO. TSU struggled earlier in the season against SEMO.
Tech opened its season with a 51-10 over Pikeville (D2 or NAIA). They then lost to EKU 17-7 in their OVC opener and to Kansas State 49-7. Tech has beaten future TSU opponents APSU and UTM. But, they loss to EIU. All of their OVC games have been close. Even their own website had to ask the question if their game with SEMO was going to be another cliffhanger?
The BIG QUESTION #1: after the bye week has TSU gotten over its poor performance against Murray?
The BIG QUESTION #2: did the bye week give TSU a chance to heal so that our starters can get back on the field?
The BIG QUESTION #3: is TSU (coaches and players) prepared to win?
